Kural - Class Subspatial Starship

Subspatial Starship of the Grand Artanat Empire.   The Kural class is a large starship designed to perform a long range anti light role. For this, it is armed with a large number of railgun-chainguns mounted in turrets. These can achieve high fire rates and a velocity approaching the speed of light. This can easily tear a hole through a light target. These rounds are typically a form of APHE as well, and detonates a charge inside the bullet after penetration. This causes a large number of holes to form on a target. Due to the high velocity, it also has long range and still be hard to dodge. The sheer fire rate also makes it hard to dodge. Due to the large number of turrets, it can engage and destroy multiple targets simultaneously.

Power Generation

It is powered by a highly powerful and efficient fusion reactor. This can produce a lot of power, but expels deuterium as exhaust. This is fed from a small hydrogen tank mounted close to the reactor.

Propulsion

Like most GAE ships, it is primarily propelled by a graviton wave refraction machine that propels the ship in a similar way to an FTL drive. It also have nuclear fusion thrusters that direct the resulting radiation using magnetic fields.

Armor and defense

Unlike most Subspatial Starships, it is also decently well armorued. Due to this, most weapons of light ships should be mostly ineffective against the Kural. It is also decently shielded, but light ships would be able to damage the shield. The Kural - class also mounts a powerful CIWS network as it is the primary method of which small ships can counter larger ships. It has a large amount of laser CIWS, as well as railgun CIWS that operates at much longer range at the cost of being subluminal. It focuses in CIWS for defence as light ships rely on missiles to efend against large ships.

Communication Tools & Systems

As the GAE does not have superluminal communication, it can be difficult for a Kural to recieve orders.
