Magic Beam

A Magic spell that can be cast using a lot of light mana.
It can be augmented with addition of other elements, but is usually just performed with only light. The Magic beam spell creates a powerful beam of photons in a similar manner as a laser or photon cannon. The caster also choses a wavelength, but choosing higher wavelengths is more likely to dissipate in the atmosphere more than lower wavelengths, which have many photons.
The spell obviously requires a lot of focus to cast but is mostly used against larger vehicles or magicians and when revealing one's position does not matter. The beam is thick which makes it mostly impractical against infantry as there are lighter options available, better suited to crowd control. Generally though, it can be a useful multi purpose tool. By augmenting it with fire mana, it can set most targets alight very easily. It can freeze other targets in ice.
