Monarch - Class Titan
Large titan of the Cypher Dominion. Its main armament is designed in such a way to enable shoting at a target from any angle. It mounts several of these tureted weapons on rings that can turn. The turrets themselves are not equipped with elevation, making it faster to load the weapons.
Additionally, the rings also have large disc shield projectors that are very strong, designed to protect the ship from any target it is engaging. The ship has 6 of these rings, 3 onthe front and 3 on the back, making for 12 turrets total and 36 barrels. Each ring can only engage a single target at a time. The ship also has a secondary armament, but a lot of the internal volume of th e ship is taken up by the rings. The secondary armament is weak for its class. Also, other than the disc shields, the main hull shield is weak.
The ship remains very powerful, though. It is easily capable of fighting up to 6 enemy battleships at once even in all different directions. Still, if one does manage to flank it form a direction that no shield covers, they could cause heavy damage to a Monarch. As it can fire in any direction, it is impossible to flank a Monarch - class, as they can easily engage multiple targets in many directions. It is often best to make all the rings target in a single direction to bring all the shield projectors to the front and then flank it with a Subspatial Starship and quickly fire anti heavy weapons at it while its shields are facing elsewhere. The monarch is notably lacking in anti subspatial starship warfare, so it still requires an escort despite its power. After its introduction, the Hyperion Federation has developed more advanced missile and subspatial starship technology in order to counter this new threat, but they would have to do more than that to effectively counter these when escorted (they almost always are). The Monarch - class focuses very heavily on raw firepower so they do not make effective command or carrier ships but are often seen protecting those types of ships. Like most CD ships, it is powered through a large wormhole leading to the ship from a large facility somewhere in deep CD territory. Power is sent through an intense beam through the wormhole.
