QCD Matter APHE Warhead

A form of extremely powerful missile warhead used by the Hyperion Federation.
These sorts of missile warheads are typically reserved for larger, more powerful missiles such as the Photon Missile which are able to accelerate it to high enough speeds to cause heavy damage.
As QCD matter is both extremely dense and has an immense compressive strength, it is used as a kinetic penetrator to pierce even heavy armour with ease at which point a penetration depth fuse will cause a powerful explosive warhead to detonate and cause the QCD matter to change shape and expand (it is constantly held together by the strong force between individual neutrons). This causes it to effectively 'dig' out a large portion of the internal components while fragments from the missile itself violently penetrate through other nearby objects and ricochet. On a 'good' hit, such as from bow to stern, this can effectively cause powerful explosions violently through the whole ship via any unburnt antimatter fuel and create a lot of spalling.
On most hits, though, it is highly unlikely to penetrate from bow to stern and travel through the entire ship. More likely to impact the side of a ship, it is typically not powerful enough to destroy most heavy ships with a single hit.
