Homeworld of the Systems of UGX_20.
This planet is found within the Delta Nixoria galaxy, which is roughly between the Sulethis Republic and Cypher Dominion. It is best known for being the homeworld of this faction, where an AI underwent evolution and 'technologically' progressed with bioengineering. This exotic form of 'life' is commonly called 'mechanical life', and it is not known how mechanical life originated. In reality, it was the Xadia Ancients that seeded the mechanical life here.
UGX_20 is a world that orbits its star at a relatively short radius, making it quite hot. The average temperature is approximately 70C. This normally would be considered uninhabitable to life, but instead the life was engineered to resist the environment. In fact, the increased solar radiaiton means that solar panel power generation is improved, as well as photosynthesis efficieicny. This allows the UGX_20 to grow more life on their world. The robots themselves run off solar panels to operate so they, too, can tap into this high efficiency. The temperature does cause more significant geological activity which leads to natural disasters however, which the robots often use engineered lifeforms to hold off or reduce the damage, and even anticipate.
They have gone through great lengths to make their bioengineering suit all their needs. The UGX_20 has found a number of alternate sources of energy for life. They have engineered lifeforms that could extract heat from geothermal sources, which is also highly efficient on this planet. More recently, they have engineered lifeforms that could fuse hydrogen in large, fusion reactor-like organs and produce a lot of energy used to grow many smaller lifeforms, or even entire bioships. Although the hydrogen reserves of this planet were almost entirely exhausted, the Systems instead took hydrogen fuel from several gas giants in their system using very large organisms that function like regular gas giant collection stations.
