Wormhole Displacement Drive WDD

The most common form of superluminal travel adopted by the Cypher Dominion.   The WDD creates a wormhole between the current location and destination. This operation uses a lot of energy but is a near-instantaneous form of travel and can be used to easily flank an enemy force. However, the wormhole can be detected by the enemy, allowing them time to prepare before the CD ship can enter the wormhole from the enterance end. It also does not have a very large range. If a ship wants to travel far with it, it must make multiple jumps. Additionally, they could drain the ships energy if used too much, so they would need to refuel. Additionally, the exiting side of the wormhole almost never ends up in the precise location where the CD wanted them.   It works by exploting Graviton Wave Refraction with a very high degree of precision to chose the destination. By adding negative mass to assist, it can create a warp in spacetime large enough to turn into an Einstein-Rosen bridge. However, due to the sheer distances involved, it is nearly imposible to get it exact despite the use of extremely precise machinery. The wormhole may end up several astonomical units away from intended destination.
