Xalarin Odyros Society

A faction of Xalarin that used to exist in the Odyros galaxy, several thousand years before the start of the Tebburus Unification War.
This xalarin society was quite advanced, and was able to overwhelm the early space age Drath forces, forcing them to establish habitats on the Xaolia gas giant. The xalarins themselves were extremely xenophobic, similar to the Xalarin Council, and might have originated at roughly the same time, assuming they both developed technology at the same rate. At this time the XC was about as advanced as they were, a shockingly small technological gap despite the several million year timescale. It is possible that they were seeded, and whoever seeded them could have sped up development of one side if they showed signs of lagging behind the other...
However, this civilization was destroyed years after the drath settled in Xaolia - and founded the Micars Empire. A civil war as well as enraged neighboring star nations simultaneously would be their downfall but the Drath remained in Xaolia for entire generations, having no way of knowing if their oppressors were destroyed. Eventually, someone manages to escape the thick atmosphere of the gas giant and finds nothing out in space, causing the extremely strict rule of not leaving the gas giant to be lifted.
