Zaranahalan

Ethnicity that has formed on a Hyperion Federation habitable Dyson Sphere. 
Zaranahalans have formed a culture unique to their Dyson sphere. It is partly due to this culture that many who move here dont often consider moving out and those outside dont often move in, which keeps them more culturally isolated than most areas of the HF. Still, they are not xenophobic, and the HF allows this culture to exist. They are made up of most sophonts of the HF, which causes them to be highly diverse like many cultures of the HF. Even the Suons have evolved their own skin and bioluminescence colours (white skin colour and orange bioluminescence).
However, the red giant star under the sphere was predicted to go supernova during the lifetime of the Dyson sphere. Several years before this point, the entire culture would be evacuated else they would join the sphere and be annihilated into constituent quantum particles. The people of this ethnicity have genetically drifted slightly from the rest of the HF (such as the unique suon skin and bioluminescence colours) but they were forced to assimilate into the cultures of other HF worlds and megastructures nearby. Those of this ethnicity are allowed to have a holiday on the day the star exploded in memory of those who could not evacuate (Dyson spheres have huge populations into the quadrillions, but this one specifically, being built around a red giant, would house several orders of magnitude more). They lost their home, but the HF currently undergoes efforts to build a new, similar one for them again. This would allow the HF to use these experienced Dyson sphere workers once again, and bring large benefit to the economy. For now, though, they remain one of the largest groups of displaced people in the entire HF.
