Short version
Gigred trained with his twin brother Lotim as Bloodragers Gigred took a fancy for the traditional Primal-like nature (Primalist). Both a part of the Verdant bloodline their family always delivers twins each generation. Gigred could never find an animal of any kind that took a liking to him in fact during Lotim and Gigreds right of passage in search of their plant cores. The brothers climbed down many deep ravines and swam through a few aqueducts and found a room with a purple glowing tree. The tree seemed to have charmed and entranced both brothers to fight each other for the tree's bond. Gigred took many blows but struck his brother down and unconscious. Although Gigred was weak and was finished off by a beast that lived in the room that had waited to strike. When Gigred woke he had found himself bonded with the tree and his brother was carrying him home unbonded. Lotim held much resentment with Gigred believing himself to be the true victor of their exchange feeling that Gigreds claim of another beast that had intervened was a lie. Gigred began his pilgrimage of the surface to find new types of plants and ways to fire them without the aid of sunlight or ways of growing them fast or more efficiently. At the beginning of Gigred's pilgrimage he received a letter from his family stating that Lotim had decided to begin his pilgrimage without finishing his right of passage to find his plant bond.
