Khamzi, Countess of the Sun
Self-proclaimed ruler of Ghodar planet and system
Now referred to as "Her Highness Khamzi, Shah of Ghodar planet and system, Countess of the Sun and daughter and blessed of The Star Singer", she was once merely Khamzi Mazandarani, leader of a colony ship come to properly settle Ghodar almost 40 CC ago.

Khamzi Mazandarani was something of a youthful revolutionary, much disaffected by the Factions that dominate Horizon politics. She claimed that humanity had come to the stars to find truth and a new order, free of the shackles of the past. Disparaging the societies of the First-come and Zenithian alike as structures enslaving the people in shackles made of old ways that were no longer useful, let alone fair, she gathered like-minded followers together to fund an expedition to a planet still free of Faction rule - Ghodar. A much-plagued journey
Rumours - easily believable ones - suggest that the series of disasters that plagued the set up of the expedition and eventual jouney to Ghodar were nothing to do with ill fate or poor planning but rather sabotage by any number of Factions determined to prove their necessity. Whatever the truth, the colonists flew their ship - The Independence - through the unstable Dziban-Ghodar portal, perhaps indicating a need to rely more risky measures to escape their trouble. The travel ends in mystery
The colonists have successfully set up a city on Ghodar - Juldizin Demalisi - that thrives despite the planet's inhospital nature. What should have taken decades to make safe and prosperous the colonists have achieved in much less than one generation and then some. If travellers and merchants are to be believed, the colony exists under a self-sustaining dome of safe air that needs no physical boundary to hold it over the city. Such success would perhaps have been a slap across the Factions' faces but for the cost to the colony's society, which seems to be a descent into primitive sun worship and a naivety that has let the Factions gain a foothold into it's operations... as always seems to happen.
Khamzi's faithful maintain a dubious practice of sun worship. If rumours are to be believed, her cultists claim the Traveller - as the Star Singer - has blessed the star of Ghodar. This blessing is said to give its light special powers not felt anywhere else in the Horizon that, in turn, can be transferred to the faithful worshipper who baths in the star's light. As few super humans have yet to return from Ghodar however, we must assume that acknowledged human science is yet prevailing.
