Thobres A homebrew setting and campaign, rebelling against tyranny, oppression, and probably sanity.

Created by

Thobres was once a world of Chaos and War. First it was the Gods versus the Primordial, then the first wars of the Kith-Folk, followed by the eruption of the Planes of Hell and the Abyss seeking domination and destruction. It was during the Great Crusades that kith-folk across the world united under the faith of the Immaculate Court. This was the union of 8 Gods who bestowed Their divinity upon their creations and helped forever seal the aberrant forces of the Abyss and Hell.   There was peace for centuries, Kith-folk lived among each other and prospered. It was the Immortal Elders of the Elves who decided that they were best suited to oversee the progress of all others. Thus began the Amastacia Dynasty, and the Expansion of the Amastacian Empire. Unlike some of the other conquering forces, they used far more subtle methods. Unbound by the mortality of the other kith-folk, they slowly absorbed the cultures of the others into their own, made strategic marriages and trade deals and after a relatively short 600 years, The entirety of the continent of Orthia was under Imperial rule.   For 1500 years the Amastacian Empire stood unchanged. It was when the Immortal Elders of the elves ascended to the realms of gods that there was a shift. A new religion of the Golden Order was established, headed by the Pontifex Uriel the Last. The Golden Order was swiftly spread through the Empire, Where the Pontifex was placed as the head of state. Worship of the Immaculate Court was slowly diminished, along with the cultures and histories of the other Kith-Folk. The Golden Order sought to assimilate the world to their will.   We open in the 4th Age of Thobres, the year is 4A 1134. The Golden Order has been met with great resistance from the other kith-folk. While The Empire still stands, and the Order still rules, constant rebellion and heresies weaken the foundations and barbarians hound the edges of the world.
