Those Left Behind
While the world dipped to chaos, a group of survivors rallied, fortified, and sought to help the world in the search for a cure. Instead they found a camouflage and found themselves in the same world as before, just with one less problem to deal with. The world did not heal, the damage could not be undone. Any hope of a life returning to normalcy vanished once the needle hit the vein.
