The GodDragons
Each of the GodDragons is centered on a particular Hayili – an energy, emotion, motivation or aspect of life that they administered and lorded over during their time.
Following their defeat by the Gods of The Old, the GodDragons were banished into the fabric and emotions of the land. No longer in material or ethereal form, they instead inhabit the plane of ‘Desconocido’ or ‘The Unknown’.
The people of Thunderia, long removed from the great conflicts, view stories and even the existence of the GodDragons as rumor and ancient superstition; but expressions about being “touched” by the GodDragons still exist – someone who seeks to harm others may be described as being ‘touched by Borsor’ in them moment they strike out in anger.
Those that believe in the old ways tell stories that if an individual were able to find a centre of conflux between the material world and the Desconocido where a particular GodDragons spirit resides, and could concentrate a raw, primal form of the GodDragons energy into a object from the dawn of the land, then this object becomes permanently touched by the GodDragon, granting extraordinary abilities to those who hold, wear or wield the touched object. Those that tell these tales say that doing so is at great risk of the GodDragon taking some part of the individual who does so.
(Note: The GodDragons are referred to with Male Pronouns however they are Genderless)
Summary
Brekar
The Worlddragon of Storms, Father to the Goddragons The WorldDragon of Storms, Brekar created the world in which Thunderia exists and fathered the GodDragons to rule it. He then disappeared to continue his exploration of the universe. The tales and legends of his return speak of a great cleansing and the rise of a new ruler of the sentient beings.Borsor
The GodDragon of Violence Lording over the raw expression of pain, anger and violence, Borsor was the physically strongest of the GodDragons. Borsor now lives in the emotions of anger and pain, driving those touched by him to cause harm to othersAdesse
The GodDragon of HopeNornka
The GodDragon of Reason & Logic Nornka lives within the motivation of learning and inquiry. Those touched by Nornka are driven by an insatiable desire to learn and gain knowledge, to treat situations with pure reason and logic, removing all emotion and becoming therefore cold and distant.Makromant
The GodDragon of Death Makromant was born from Death – both its practical expression and the fear and understanding of death. Those touched by Makromant treat death as a curiosity – they do not fear death, instead respecting its place in the grand scheme of life. Makromant is a rarity, in that he had a direct rival in the Gods of the Old – Nerull, who was ‘killed’ as they battled.Frondii
The GodDragon of Nature & Life Frondii ruled over the natural word and the creatures within. Looked down upon by his siblings for ruling over the non-sentient races, Frondii views himself as an absolute requirement of the world as without the non-sentient races the sentient races would be forced to consume one another.Jorro/Korro
The Twin GodDragons of Love and Lust The ‘Twin’ dragons, joined at the shoulder. Jorro is the GodDragon of Love, romantic or otherwise. Korro instead ruled over Lust; the Twins frequently argued as to which emotion was more important to the survival of the Sentient Beings. Those that pursue a life of sexual depravity are described as touched by Korro, those who fall into the deepest love are blinded by Jorro.Grilra
The GodDragon of Despair Grilra is the focus of negative emotions; lording over those that feel despair, depression, sorrow and grief. Grilra viewed these emotions as great power – for many a mighty artist, grand warrior or wise sage has been brought low by these emotions.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
