Thunderia

Before the formation of the lands, there were the WorldDragons. All the sentient beings of the time lived upon their wings, and feasted on the bounty of the WorldDragons kills. Brekar was one such WorldDragon; he was the most powerful of the WorldDragons, he of Storms.   After a time, Brekar formed the known world with one mighty blast of his stormy breath. In an instant the world was formed, trees sprung, a great rain over the land formed the oceans and the rivers, a tooth mark forming the many cliffs and mountains that surround the capital of Thunderia. He fathered 8 children – the GodDragons – and left them to rule the world he had created along with all of the beings he once bore on his mighty wings.   After a time, these sentient beings rose up, some rising to Godhood of their own. They eventually defeated and banished the GodDragons.   Thunderia is now a land being crushed under the thumb of its King, Harold (Third of his name). His children aid in his rule, and his wives are worshipped as goddesses. The capital is filled with those loyal to Harold; sycophants, guards and knights. The Kings were once benign rulers, but under his grandfather (Harold, First of his Name) the rule turned from benign to oppressive. For much of the population, life goes on. A small group (FIST) seeks to free Thunderia from the King and institute its own leadership.
