Curare

Curare is a bushy plant that grows low to the ground, identifiable by its dark green powdery leaves. The tallest stems of the bush are crowned by clusters of yellow berries.  The berries can be crushed into a paste and applied to a weapon for a quick topical poison or distilled for a more deadly draught.
Herders in the eastern grasslands beyond Lake Amsoran use the pulped berries to paralyze large predators that threaten the safety of the horses. Applying the poison to arrow and spear heads.
