Mugwort

The effects of this herb last for two hours. During this time the character can function at negative hit points, or beyond the point of exhaustion. Mugwort can grow to be taller than a man. It has a stiff and angular stem, reddish brown in colour. It has deeply incised smooth leaves which are dark green on top and silvery white underneath. It has small, yellow-green or yellow-red flowers arranged in long spikes at the top of the stem. There is an alchemical process to create a type of chew that is usually spit out after it loses its taste. For every -5 hit points the user suffers they begin to see visions of ghosts, apparitions and death.  Each time this herbal concoction is used after the first the death phantasms become more corporeal and will attempt to drag the soul of the user out of his body.  This is resisted with a successful poison and death save with -2 for each 5 hit points below zero.
