Session 058 Nexus Report
General Summary
Session 058: The city of Nexus
Euadne had Volkan make some shields & armor from the Tarrasque. As well as a Maul for John from Tarrasque bones.
The party then proceeded to open a portal & headed to Nexus.
Upon arrival there were alarms & the guards knew that they were deities. They saw a level of technology unthought of by any buy Theron. In a corner of customs in the trash appeared to be the goop of stimfay nanites.
They were taken to a guard post in the customs. They were told that divine beings could only be divine or convert in the Temple District.
They were all given a Cloak that went Grey when they dropped it on themselves.
They asked where to find epic training & were sent out all over the metropolis for them:
Euadne went to the magic academy & was told about issues at a museum in that district.
Theron went to the Emerald Hills has some interesting Brian's stick to him that he showed to the groves' Primordial. They spoke & he was told that he could return if he ever wanted to become a slayer. Though he'd need to be tested then. Theron used his divine senses to instinctively avoid all foes in & out of the Emerald Hills. & Tower's of Thul.
Pyra & Hulgnir went to the Temple District. Hulgnir saw Odin, who died on Thylea. He didn't try to speak to the Odin. He found someone who told him that he'd need to find a relic & take up a crest. A vision of Yggdrasill & a one eyed raven came to Hulgnir & he knew that was his.
John & Jekkar went to the Steel Streets where they found a bar fight. John joined in. They drank some & asked about things to fight. The bar tender spoke of a Great Old One chained up in the city, & the Dragon at the customs, gets more dangerous the longer you fight him.
Oren & Arkrania went to the steel streets.
They met back up near customs & headed to the museum in the financial district.
Will the party be able to solve what others have not?
Will the party risk using their divine powers?
Will the party be able to find a divine trainer?
Pyra's ego: Isolated. *I cannot get close to those who lack the power to stand beside me in battle. It's just too risky - my enemies could easily exploit this connection & do harm to those I love.......I miss my family.*
Oren's ego: Insatiable. *It's never enough. Glory, treasure, companionship. I've tried everything worth trying & yet hunger for more.*
Neptune's ego: Old timer. * This new generation of heroes are so soft. They will never amount to what I accomplished, & even if they do, it's because I blazed the trail. Harrrrumph!*
Arkrania's ego: Show-off. *I love to put on a show. What is the point in having these awesome powers if you can't put them on display? Sure, the crowds get a bit much sometimes, but it's all in good fun.*
Unless you want something else for them, these seem suitable for them.
Hyakinthos' epic ego. Mentor. *I am always on the lookout for up & coming adventurers, I know of a few good quests they could use that should be a suitable challenge. So what if the last group couldn't handle it?! The risk is part of the job!*
Apollo epic ego. Elitist. *Magic is too dangerous in the hands of others lacking my experience & oversight. I keep my "how to" guide on the subject on hand just in case I encounter another reckless spellcaster, along with a prepared speech on the subject.*
Phoibe's epic ego. Secretive. *I like to conceal my identity whenever possible. It's nice to be "normal" every once in a while. I live a double life in my spare time.*
Jörmungandr's epic ego. Hedonistic. *I enjoy every moment of peace to the fullest. I risk life, limb, & even soul to do what I do, so when I can, I party hard.*
