Aemairi

Lady of Mysteries, Guardian of the Veil

Aemairi is perhaps the most powerful of the gods. She commands the Veil, the layer of raw power that permeates the entire world and allows mortals and deities alike to channel the power we call magic. Although she might wish it to be different, Aemairi largely has to stay neutral despite her disliking the misuse of magic. This makes her position difficult and demanding and has brought her into conflict with the One Above on a few occasions. She is capable of blocking the access of mortals to the Veil if she wishes to and is able to do the same to deities with extreme concentration. She only exercises this power if a mortal's actions threaten the entire world or if the One Above commands her to. Aemairi's following is quite limited despite all her power: wizards and sorcerers would form the main body of her followers but they are largely too preoccupied with their pursuits to pay more than lip service to Aemairi.
