Church of Purity

The Church of Purity holds that the Platinum Dragon taught the other gods how to create new works at the dawn of time. They also believe that metallic dragons are the greatest creation of any god and will never be surpassed. Metallic dragons are the physical incarnation of perfection.

Tenets of Faith

The Church of Purity promotes and protects that which is pure and good, and strives for perfection in all things. A member's highest calling is to learn a craft and hone it to perfection before death. Creative pursuits like sculpting and painting are especially encouraged.

The more military-oriented members of the church are called to defend purity and destroy that which is corrupt. The church often puts out bounties on undead, goblinoids, and other evil creatures, and it has a standing bounty on any and all chromatic dragons.

Children are considered to be pure and uncorrupted, and are thus to be protected and nurtured. The Church of Purity is thus particularly outspoken in its opposition to child abuse in all its forms, and runs a great many orphanages. A small minority of the clergy has even been known to advocate for the idea that children should not do labor of any kind until the age of 15.

Abstinence leading to monogamous marriage is encouraged for members of the church, and total celibacy is expected within the clergy.
