The Dread Hive of Migo the Abyssal

Regional Dungeon

The Dread Hive of Migo the Abyssal is a well known dungeon local to the Starfall Foothills. Originally established by the demon Migo over a thousand years ago, this location has spent the better part of the last two centuries abandoned. Occassionally bandit gangs will use it as a hideout, or it may get infested by local beasties. Its proximity to the Olkford Township does make cleaning it out a priority for the regional lordship.

The War

Despite its namesake, the Dread Hive has no known connection to the Dread Legions. Its location poses little strategic thread to The Crown, though it would be unwise to allow the Hive to become an enemy stronghold. The regional lordship regularly employs heroes to clear the dungeon out from time to time.

Geography

The Dread Hive is a collection of sunken ruins and underground caves that have been linked together by a series of manmade tunnels.

History

Migo the Abyssal is rumored to have be a demon who established a foot hold in the mortal realm. In the short time he was on our plane, his followers created the Hive as a staging ground where Migo could amass his legions in preparation for an assault on the Realm. Word of the threat quickly found its way to the Crown. Shortly thereafter, Migo and his cult were put down by the Heroes Guild.
