The End of Tierras Mágicas

"The world has moved past us"

Small Signs

Some stars fell off the ceiling-sky, and new ones didn't appear to replace them.
The inhabitants of the Micro City packed up their houses, saloons and trains and left with no trace.
The Clan of Elementalis grew exponentially in a very short period, but almost every single new member turned out to be stock.
The World of Victoria reclaimed The Ship, never to be seen or sailed again.   The Breath-of-Life seemed to be running dry.

The Drying

The drying of the grasslands in Tierras Mágicas was the hit that shook the toy societies and made them realise something big was happening.   I started grey, in 2010. In the span of less than a week, the beautiful pale golden grasses where the horses ran died and vanished. The lake where brave warriors would fight geyser snakes dried out taking the monsters with it, and the salt lake that the elementalis used as playground was absorbed into the earth. What remained was the rocky sediment of the mountainous land, a grey desert peppered with huge cracks, cold and featureless.

Terracotta lands

This state of affairs lasted for two long years where the toys tried to accommodate to the tragedy, though most would relegate themselves to their bases and dwellings in place of frolicking on the soft expanse. Some among the most notorious toys would noticed the Breath-of-life All-Mighty to be wary of this land, and followed suit.   But then, on 2013, yet another big change awaited the lands of Tierras Mágicas. The grey soil seemed to dissolve, then raise and crack. From this cracks, the rocky, granular grey soil gave place to hard, smooth terracotta.   It was too much. The new mesa environment was unwelcoming of the toy societies. It was time to leave the motherland and explore.

The Space Era

Tierras Mágicas is in ruin. The vast grassland dried into rock, the lakes are no more. The husk of the Canterbury Castle lays devoid of life and there is no sign of the Faeries. Only Cartucho seems to let his rumbling growls be heard from time to time.   But some persist. Amidst the chaos, the Kingdom of Canterbury and the Clan of Elementalis managed to leave their home planet and travel through other more welcoming places.
Their descendants now live on in smaller but incredibly more advanced settlements, and learned to pack up and leave intact as soon as a new home needs to become an old one.   They retained a deep love of the land of their ancestors and its culture and traditions, and seek again and again for a world where the magic can be revived and its flame remain fuelled for eternity.
