The Akaash Tapestry
But even a few wild statues here and there wouldn't make the room out of bounds surely? “That room has a tapestry which depicts the war of Akaash and obviously it's in their warped point of view, nothing but propaganda, lousy cowards.”
Significance
The tapestry depicts the battle of Akaash, the first battle which kickstarted the Lamentari occupation in Azaadi land. The original artwork resides in the Castelle Obex, a building under Lamentari control and is heavily guarded by Lamentari soldiers. Legend says the original artist had been a first-hand witness to the infamous battle. He had been an archer up in the mountains when he saw the fight unfold before him and this is where drew out his bow accordingly. Many would presume this is also where he fought with strong courage, but it is quite the contrary. The archer had fled the battle in fear of his life and the Lamentari wrath. He stopped in a small cave in the mountains, the sight and guilt of cowardice itched his fingertips. The archer drew out his bow for a final time and scratched a detailed picture on the bed of some stone, the picture displaying the bloody mess of that which is war which was left largely untouched.
Now we don’t know what happened to the archer, many people even say he went back to aid his comrades and died a hero’s death. Many have even claimed identity of the lost archer but have all been disproven when tested with his to draw and paint. These tests pieces are now sold in the black-market and if you are lucky you might have a chance to catch them. They are known to have a golden frame often blessed by priests or priestesses so are known to be pricy.
