Council of Thura
In the heart of the diverse and sprawling land of Estrya, a unique governing body known as the Council of Thura has risen to prominence. This formidable council, led by the charismatic and strong Head Councilman Grayson Stoneblade, governs Estrya in lieu of traditional monarchies, having united three separate countries under their banner. The council is a diverse assembly, with each district represented by a council member. Councilwoman Ramona Ormond presides over the Central District, Councilman Eugene Lockridge governs the West District , while Head Councilman Grayson Stoneblade leads from the East District.
Council Members are appointed through an election process every 10 years. A public ceremony and ballot reading are held to ensure that the results are fair and upheld. If the public does not approve of the actions of a council member once they are appointed they can be removed by a signed petition from the citizens of the district. Once a petition has been signed and delivered, that council member is removed and an election for a new member will take place. This whole process is done with an oversight committee.
The oversight committee is chosen at random from a pool of volunteers within each district every year. This ensures that no one person can be influenced or bought by a ruling council member or anyone else. They have the authority to launch investigations into the council members to ensure their adherence to the policies put in place by the first council.
Structure
Head Councilman:
The Head Councilman serves as the highest authority within the Council of Thura.
Responsible for providing overall leadership, guidance, and direction to the council.
Represent their respective district and advocate for the interests and concerns of the citizens.
Acts as the primary representative of Estrya on the international stage.
Presides over council meetings and ensures the implementation of decisions.
Regular Council Members:
Represent their respective districts and advocate for the interests and concerns of the citizens.
Participate in council meetings, discussions, and decision-making processes.
Contribute to the formulation of policies and laws that benefit the entire nation.
Oversight Committee: An independent body appointed to ensure accountability and adherence to ethical standards within the Council.
Regularly reviewing the actions of the Council to ensure compliance with established laws and principles.
Investigating any allegations of misconduct or violations of ethical standards.
Reporting findings to the public and recommending corrective actions when necessary.

Public Agenda
The public agenda of the Council of Thura is to provide the Estryan society with the ability to dictate the course of history within their own country. They want to take down other monarchies as well and give power to people of other countries as they believe it is the way all people should live.
Assets
The council itself holds no assets as they belong to the country and its people. They are however responsible for tracking and safeguarding the assets stored within each district capital. This allows them to know how much monetary influence they have compared to other nations and to be used as potential bargaining tools with allies, or prospective allies. They are each given a modest salary, in accordance with the median national salaray, as compensation for leading the country and their respective districts.
History
The formation of the Council of Thura was a direct result of the peoples revolts against their kings and queens. 3 nations came together and made plans to take down their respective kings and queens at the same time. The citizenry marched on the capitals just before greatharvest which is one of the largest holidays. Large crowds gathering was common and didnt cause any alarm. With all 3 capitals under siege reinforcements from the other nations was impossible and they quickly fell to the people.
The leaders of each revolution were appointed together to become the first 3 members of the Council of Thura. They established the ground rules for the Council for generations to come. They also had resources such as art centers, libraries etc created and free and open to the public so that they would stay educated as a society.
Military
The Estryan Legion is name of the military force, and they are formiddable. Combining the military might of three nations is something unheard of and sets them apart as the strongest armed force on land. Their naval force is not quite as large as some of the others but still strong in its own right.
The Estryan Legion also requires that every able bodied individual complete at least 1 year of service and continue ongoing training once a year at the annual Unity Forge. This ensures that even the general population is trained in the basics of combat.
