Time Thief
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Time Thief can take the form of nearly any and all known humanoids within the realms of Timeuria. Their true form is amorphous and somewhat ethereal. They lack clearly defined features but have a roughly humanoid shape in their actual form. They dont tend to be very muscular, and have no skeletal structure. They can have several rows of teeth that grow continually with age and as older teeth fall out, with some of the newest formed teeth being nearly or completely transparent.
Genetics and Reproduction
They reproduce through a process known as Temporal Mitosis. A time thief gorges itself on a large section of time or memories from a humanoid and then begins to vibrate at the same frequency as the original moment, briefly becoming a blur and multiplying exponentially.
Growth Rate & Stages
Their first stage of life is known as Chronals, where they begin as small vaguely humanoid creatures with disproportioned bodies. The amount of time spent in this stage varies wildly for each individual and varies based on what sorts of ambient time and fractions it feeds on. It can last days, or even millennia.
Once a time thief reaches the adolescent stage, they quickly begin to mutate and mature at an extreme rate. Their need to consume memories or fragments of time reaches its peak during this phase. Usually this point in their life only lasts a few hours or at most a week.
The third and final form, is when they reach their ethereal amorphous form, where they get their full array of matured senses such as timesense, teleportation, telepathy and truesight. Their lifespan is unknown in this stage but it is supposed that they could live endlessly as long as they are not killed by another creature.
Ecology and Habitats
While the Time Thieves generally exist on the boundaries of time itself they do occasionally traverse the known realms. They prefer realms where time passes in non linear fashion, the most common places where they have been spotted include the feywild and the shadowfell.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Time thieves don't eat often, their metabolism operates outside of time and as such they only have the need to eat every thousand years or so. Moreover, when they do eat it is similar to a swarm of locusts, devouring every moment in time that seems delicious. This has resulted in some patches of time having missing or mixed up historical recounts. Fortunately however, this is not their main source of food as they much prefer stalking a single humanoid creature and slowly picking out memories from that individual over its lifespan.
Behaviour
The first whim of Time Thieves was to return to the dawn of time itself and attempt to eat the very essence of the original moment of creation. This is a goal of all Time Thieves. They spend most days teleporting from moment to moment looking for memories to consume. When a Time Thief finds a particularly delicious memory or moment in time they will collect fragments of them as trophies. As a general rule, they tend to be single minded much like dragons.

History
In the midst of the realmswar Eternus(the original God of Time) was killed. This sent out a shockwave of energy throughout the cosmos and opened a rift in time. It is said that this was when the Time Thieves were born into the world. When Cadana(the current Goddess of time) was brought into existence by Lord Astriel she promptly closed this tear, but the Time Thieves were already in existence at this point.
