Vampiric Bloodline

  The Vampiric Bloodline embodies the manipulation of blood magic, enabling Sanguimancers to emulate the traits of nocturnal predators. Through their dark artistry, they pierce the minds of others with a penetrating gaze, enthrall and dominate creatures of the night, and even harvest life force from creatures in a ghastly display of vampiric power.   Mind-Piercing Gaze
At 3rd level, your vampiric bloodline grants you the ability to pierce the minds of others. As an action, you can cast the detect thoughts spell without needing any components. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.   Vampiric Dominion
At 7th level, you gain the ability to exert your vampiric dominance over a creature's body. As an action, you can choose one creature within 30 feet of you to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, you gain control over the creature's actions for one minute. During this time, you can move the creature and take the Attack action on its turn, but you cannot force it to speak or cast spells. Taking any actions that would result in the death of the creature end this effect immediately. You may only affect one creature at a time in this manner.   Blood Harvest
At 10th level, you can initiate a Blood Harvest, draining the life force from multiple creatures around you. As an action, you can spend a number of Blood Points up to your Constitution modifier. Choose up to a number of creatures equal to the Blood Points expended within a 20-foot radius. Each chosen creature must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes necrotic damage equal to a roll of 1d8 for each Blood Point expended. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage. You regain hit points equal to the total damage dealt. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.   Nocturnal Domination
At 15th level, your mastery over vampiric essence grants you the ability to dominate the will of a nocturnal creature. As an action, you can cast Dominate beast without components, targeting a nocturnal creature. On a failed save, it falls under your control for 1 hour or until you end this effect as a bonus action. You may control a number of creatures equal to your constitution modifer in this manner.   Eternal Thirst
At 18th level, your connection to the eternal thirst within vampiric blood grants you unparalleled strength. As an action, you can spend 7 Blood Points, to enter an enhanced state for one minute, gaining the following benefits:  
  • Your movement speed is doubled.
  • You gain advantage on all attack rolls and saving throws.
  • Your attacks deal an additional 1d8 necrotic damage.
  • You regain hit points equal to half the necrotic damage dealt by your attacks.
  Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can do so again.
