Structure

The Venitas Confederacy is the predominant power on the continent of Avistat. Originally a series of colonies under the Mageocracy, the Confederacy won their independence in the Venitad Revolution of 5776 RA. In the aftermath of the revolution, a low-scale conflict occurred between two factions. The Stillwater Faction ultimately prevailed, establishing a representative democracy in the eastern regions of Avistat.
The central government consists of three equal branches – executive, legislative and judicial. The chief executive is the president, who is chosen by a majority within the Venitad Congress. Representatives are elected to the Venitad Congress by their constituents, with the number evenly allotted based on population. Judges serve in their local regions for a maximum duration of 10 years, with a Supreme Court serving to interpret the original Venitad Articles of Confederacy in balance with the president and congress.

Public Agenda

The Venitas Confederacy is dedicated to the ideals of personal freedom, opportunity to succeed and equality. This is in direct opposition to the pointed aristocratic leanings of the Mageocracy that they splintered from. Further, Venitas actively seeks to expand their influence westward across Avistat. Their grip on the Sharesessi Frontier is notably weak, even when compared against the geographically isolated Edgelands of the western coast.
