Aymar Two-Strike
Early Life
Aymar grew up in a small town in Bravich. His father was a retired soldier, and his mother was a local farm girl. He had a fairly uneventful childhood, spending much of his time exploring the woods. When he was old enough, his father began training him to wield a sword, as Aymar had shown interest in exploring the world, and adventuring. A few years later, he earned the Two-Strike title after his innate elven magic began to develop, allowing him to move so quickly that an afterimage, or echo would form behind him, striking seconds after him. Once this power developed, his father began teaching the Elven Bladesong fighting form, helping him to craft his sword to create an eerie melody while fighting. One day, a rampaging horde of giant lizards was headed towards the town's center, and Aymar was able to cause the lizards to be diverted with a blend of his unique fighting styles. Soon after, he was ready to go explore the land. During his explorations, he learned ofThe Harvest Festival
After years of small time adventuring, Aymar returned to his hometown, having recieved word that his father had passed after an unfortunate encounter with some new strange shadowy monkey. There, he met Gillian Black, a changeling of some renown, Joban, a Leonin, and Enoki, a sentient mushroom. They were all there for the Festival of the Harvest King, and were enjoying the games and festivities when the uncovered the dark secret behind the festival. It was a cover for a terribly ancient evil to try and regain power. Upon discovery of the truth, Joban disappeared, leaving the trio behind in the central tent. Aymar attempted to fight off the creature when Enoki went down, doing his best to give Gillian time to get Enoki out, but the tendrils of the creature had already grasped the mushroom tightly. Gillian reached out to Aymar, offering a way out, and with tears in his eyes, he grabbed her hand as she teleported them a short distance outside. Together, they ran south, leaving the terrible evil behind. The Following Years
Retreating south, Gillian explained that she worked for a powerful Druid, Rowena, one of the ancient heroes of the past. Gillian offered him a place among the Network, a group that stretched the whole continent, watching for any sign of the great evils of the pass returning, and for any new threats that may arise. Aymar, seeing it as a way to grow stronger and be able to protect more people, decided to join. He began studying the ways of elven magic, having met another user of the Bladesong fighting form. He began to grow stronger, and was soon going on missions with Gillian. Not long after having escaped from the Harvest Festival, Aymar and Gillian began courting. At first, it was their shared near death experience that brought them together, but over time, it became much more than just that. A year later, tragedy struck. Aymar was away on assignment when Rowena sent Gillian to lead a group to return to the village where the Harvest Festival was held, in an attempt to destroy the Harvest king. None survived. Stricken by grief upon returning to find out what happened, Aymar left the Network. Not long after, the Bubble surrounding Bravich was dispelled. Now, with a whole new world to explore, and in an attempt to flee the evil that had taken so much from him, Aymar left Bravich for good. He traveled northeast, into Heung, and then into Bergegthim. There, on the outskirts of one of the cities, he fell victim to chance. He was in a tavern, playing cards with some humans, when the place was stormed. It turned out the humans had been tracked from another town, where they had stolen quite a few rare books. Given that Aymar was an elf, and was playing cards with them, he was found guilty by association, and thrown into prison.
