Council of Fourteen
Overview:
Each of the heads of the schools of magic are all Wizards specializing in their specific school of magic. Each of the other heads are Artificers, unless otherwise stated. All are dwarves, and all have personalities that match their craft. Every year, one council member is elected, rotating through all the seats over the course of 14 years, though generally unless there is a major shakeup, the elected official usually serves most of their life after being elected.
During the Forgotten Forest Remembrance, the current council is as follows:
Seat of Stoneworking:
Gregor Strongarm is very stout, and usually quite sudden. Prone to deliberating on issues for longer than normal, and once he makes up his mind he is very hard to sway from that path. Gregor is an Archanist with the Artillerist Substype, using his strong turrets to mine out large chunks of rock, and smaller turrets to do more fine work.
Seat of Woodworking:
Axlkrick Greybeard is a woodsman. Since achieving the head of the woodworking guild, he feels that most wood does not suit his mind. Since then, any time that the Council is not meeting, he spends his time ranging the mountain forests, searching for the perfect piece of wood to create a new masterpiece. Axlkrick is a Ranger/Druid, and the only one on the council not a Wizard or Artificer.
Seat of Brewing:
Mystla Brygare is a bubbly dwarf, and the youngest on the council at an age of 76 years, and though she may not look it, she has earned her spot with her interesting flavors of Mead. Mystla is an Artificer with the Alchemist Archetype.
Seat of Metalsmithing:
Nerdranic Goldenrock has made his way up through the ranks of the Metalsmithing guild with his crafting of magical weapons. His weapons are works of art, built for functionality, but also are beautifully intricate in design. He will spend months forging the metal part of the weapon and imbuing it with the magics that come naturally in the process, and then will spend almost as much time crafting the handle/hilt/scabbard. Because of how long each weapon takes him to craft, he generally will only make one or two per year, and they are almost always priced very highly. In the last 10 years however, Nerdranic has not shown any weapon that he has produced, causing rumors that he has found the long lost discovered secret to creating sentient weapons, something only thought possible for the gods, or thought to be created through cataclysmic events. Nerdranic is an Artificer with the Battle Smith Archetype.
Seat of Alchemy:
Nicolette Vaxtodlare made her name initially as a general herbalist in a remote area of Bergigthim. A visiting Alchemist found her and recognized that the herbs that she were using to help the townsfolk were unique to the area. Nicolette became the Alchemist’s apprentice and soon became an accomplished Alchemist herself. She is an artificer with the Alchemist Archetype with a couple of levels in Druid.
Seat of Jewelers:
Algot Gottoga is the richest of the Council, and generally acts as a Master of Coin for the country. A shrewd man, specializing in making jewelry that are imbued with magics to allow the wearer to enhance their beauty, Gregor is very good at identifying and finding precious gems in the mines. Seat of Glassworkers:
Aska Pruma holds the seat for the glass blowers. Has a unique style of using lightning spells mixed with his glass blowing to create wondrous items that will have little bits of lightning moving within the glass object. He is an Infusionsmith (https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LAEn6ZdC6lYUKhQ67Qk) specializing in making magic glass items. He takes any and all lightning spells above others.
Seat of Evocation: Cannot learn Abjuration and conjuration
Gignowynn Lavacoat has a fiery and explosive personality that borders on the obnoxious, but she sticks to what she believes in.
Seat of Conjuration: Cannot learn Evocation or Illusion
Otit Trylle (he) is a quiet man, full of secrets he doesnt let other people know easily and quick to suspicion, but also very lazy. Uses his agents and servants to do much of his work.
Seat of Abjuration: Cannot learn Evocation and Divination
Elmnear Skader (he) is envious of those who may know more than him. He tries to suppress the magic of others
Seat of Transmutation: Cannot learn Enchantment or Illusion
Aratrulim Hillhand (he) is greedy. He transforms lesser objects to those of greater value. He is currently looking for a waay to turn lead to gold.
Seat of Enchantment: Cannot learn Transmutation or Divination
Kalona Fortrylle (she) is sexy. Often using her magic to get what she wants from those of lesser minds.
Seat of Illusion: Cannot learn Conjuration or Transmutation
Stroggolynn Lavabraid (she) is very prideful. She makes her ideal self through illusions
Seat of Divination: Cannot learn Abjuration or Enchantment
Giwousli Guddommelig (she) always hungry for future knowledge and cant resist wanting to know more.
