Most people believe Gothix fell back during Scarlet's rise to power. She split his being into 3 beings His spirit into a dark tomb of magic called the Dark Song that was sealed faraway from Shadow Isles, His body was warped into that of animal to wander the earth never to know what it was but to always know its lost. Finally, its skeletal remains sit in his den waiting and watching the world go by his mind always watching and plotting for his return.
