Chun-Yong Zhong

Chun-Yong Zhong has seen the world change many times over. He was born before the great war and named after the mountain he was born under . His father and mother were not native to this land and chose to give Zhong a name that would give him a better chance at life but as such things would have it Zhongs parents were forced to join the war under the direction of the Triumvirate. Not wishing ill open their family line they joined no question asked. That was the last time Zhong ever saw his father die to a machine is all we were ever told. His mother returned but chose to leave the war behind her, never choosing to acknowledge or answer questions of Zhongs father. But she did bring one thing when she returned a mechanical doll that seemed to twitch and spur as it was wound. It would dance and sing around the room and it was Zhong’s entire world. His mother devoted her life to the tending and production of crops leaving Zhong to discover the world. He would chase streams, climb cliffs, and even explore vast forests all before supper of course. But to no avail through all their adventures his mechanical doll nicknamed Hu was damaged. So with soft sounds of cooking was the tinkering of a small panda learning the art of machines. As his expertise grew with Hu he soon started having ideas and from them came the implementation and design that gave birth to Zhongs first invention. A machine that was tied to wire’s that allowed his mom to harvest, water, and even plant her crops. With the realization of her son's gift she hid him away from the world fearing that he would be silenced for his ingenuity or even worse taken from her. So gone were the days of green and spring. To a sheltered life of silence and grease. Zhong learned to perfect every part of his life automating even the most simple tasks. With Nothing to do but stare at the surrounding walls he made games, read books, and created machines from the great tales of old. One day at the age of 28 he was discovered as his Mother was attacked by bandits. Using his tools and natural size he was able to stop 3 or 4 before succumbing to the hoard. The next thing he knew Zhong woke up to a burned house and the ashen remains of the farm. Zhong was woken to the local guards responding to the fire at his house. Seeing the bodies and gear Zhong was wearing he was taken directly to the local guard house with which he was instructed to not create tools in such a manner it is not the Heung Way. Before Zhong could learn of his mothers fate he was enlisted into the Heung Army serving under Krawlock Steel Feathers command. Though never meeting him he was given many complaints due to his want to create not his want to destroy. He was taught the ways of his kind first, they gave him an axe and taught him to use his strength and size but sadly brute strength while fitting did not catch Zhongs attention. He instead opted for a different path finding interest in the techniques of Heungs Wizards he studied under there practice. But could never have the finesse needed to earn his book and ascend into being a wizard. He decided instead to use his own intelligence to best his peers hoping to graduate from his academy and become a real soldier. No longer being watched 24/7 and no longer sharing rooms with varying people. He mixed his knowledge of the Axe with his study of magic and imbued them together to earn the title of the Eldritch Knight. From there Zhong became feared for his prowess in battle fighting as a one-man army. Quickly gaining notoriety and status. Zhong was gifted to land and homing finally able to explore his life once again. He set back out to see if his mother survived. 3 years have passed since that day and when Zhong came back he was rushed by old neighbors thinking he had disappeared like his mother. For no body was found of his or his mothers. He went back to the Army requesting to know what happened that day and where his mother was. He was greeted with laughter and ridicule for no measly soldier had the right nor the status to ask such a thing from his commanding general. For such disobedience he was thrown from the status he had and was handed to Silent Breath. There Zhong grew to anger and hate. Delving deeper and deeper into the fighter he became culling a death count that exceeded most expectations. But one day as he was searching the wreckage of a caravan on an assigned mission he found a little robot just like his. Realizing how far he had fallen from his path he went into a state of shock. Using what he could he requested time of bereavement for an ally lost in the mission. During that time he took the lost art he had gained from his childhood to use. Crafting Armor and tools with ease he didnt know he possessed. He used every ounce of knowledge he knew to craft things that would aide him. He soon became proficient and when he returned he was donning a new look. Some joked he looked like a cervin and others a toy soldier. But those jokes quickly subsided when Zhong fought. He was able to wield weapons with an explosion of cannons. He was both the fortress and the cannon. Zhong became synonymous with the mountain he was named for. As he grew in reputation so too did he gain the admiration of his superiors tell Zhong was appointed the position of Master Smith. With this new position came resources and time Zhong could only dream of. He spent every night dreaming, scheming, and creating items for Heung to advance and grow as a nation. Some say the Heung Renaissance was due to just this man. But few things last, Zhong was met by a metal dove who gifted him a copper hammer that swelled with heat. Upon accepting it Zhong was gifted with the blessings of Purphoros. Allowing him to create and exceed things beyond his potential ever allowed. He improved his gear and his craft to near flawless perfection. Seeing his skills he was gifted with knowledge of Bergithims stolen goods. Tasked with replicating Zhong spends his time studying them and perfecting his art. Waiting for the day when he would finally gain enough favors to learn the location of his mother to either bury her remains or hopefully to see her and give her the life she never had.   Zhong once was a serious and stern character now lives a life of carefree and silly behavior always on the shyer side he was feared for the fake persona he would present to allow his superiors to like him. Though that soon showed to work against him. He learned from his comrades to cherish life and from that his shy bud of personality grew into a beautiful lotus. He is the calmest one in the room and seems to find humor in the smallest things. While large, he is slow and clumsy and as such chooses to wait and tell the perfect moment to strike. He is adored for his compassion and envied for his intelligence. Zhong is the only bear of his kind to have White and Black Spots. He was nicknamed panda after a name when he was younger for his love of food. Ponya quickly turned to Panda and from that his nickname was born. Panda is the heart of any party and the first to rush to anyone's aide. He is the shield and the hammer of his group and would defend people with his life. The small group he has worked for has become his family. From that he has developed a deep love for them. Panda is also beloved for his love of snacks which he keeps in his bag at all times. You will never find a moment where a panda has either a snack or a hammer not in his hand and a smile wider than the sky. He will share snacks wholeheartedly keeping wide assortments of goodies in his bag. Older in age now Panda shows signs of middle age well with his face growing gray strands and the lines on his face growing longer day by day. He has since become the head artficier of Heung while also working with squads to retrieve, rebuild, and reinvent technology for heung.
