Naelvilk Xill

Naelvilk Xill, born as a mark of making human lived his life as an artificer. He spent years surving the best he could in the evil lands of Mavaria until coming across his passion, a beautifully crafted marrionette in the ruins of a village. From the moment he saw that doll, he was entranced. What would happen if he could speak to it? He left his home and made a new on the far outskirts of Mavaria and focused on imbueing this marrionette with his essance. Purphoros took pity on the man and helped lend his power of living creation to him, however one doll was not enough. The dollmaker found himself creating many more of them. He lost count after his first hundred. With each doll created, he lost his mind further due to the power to bring life into these creatures was not his to manipulate. As time passed, Naelvilk ran out of space and in his madness he lost the passion of creation. He had made too many deals to prolong his own life and in turn that tainted his soul. He sold off his living dolls or gave them away as influental pawns to the rich and horrible. Seeing of his madness, Purphoros after the loss of his warforged and in his anger sent his paladins to destroy Naelvilk. Since the man had already lost himself, they disposed of him but they could not dispose of the magic the dolls carried. Purphoros chose to bestow his curse on the creatures and Naelvilk's soul was sent to Erebos to watch over. Some power should not be given to humans afterall.
