Silvam Incardet
Silvam is the estranged grandson of Sylvar Blackblade. He grew up learning to fight in the mercenary company known as the Black Company. However, he always grew up knowing that there was something more for him. He always felt a pull towards nature, and held the highest levels of contempt for those who would corrupt or encroach on it. This came from a combination of his Elven heritage, and the stories told to him by his grandfather and grandmother, both of whom recall
ed their time spent in the Mald Empire. He was especially attentive to the stories they told of the war between Mald and Mavaria. The stories of the undead corruption, and it’s invasion upon his ancestral home caused him to grow a deep hatred for the undead. He vowed that he would one day return to his homeland, and do everything in his power to destroy the corruption of the land.
After learning the basics of combat, he began to study the ways of magic, and nature. When he was old enough, he left the protection of his father’s camp and journeyed into the wilderness. He set out to find someone who could teach him how to best protect the natural land. After some time, he found an encampment of Druids of Nylea. It was here that he finally found people who cared about nature, as much as he himself did. It was around this time that Silvam stopped going by his traditional Blackblade name, changing it to Silvam Incardet.
Over the next century, Silvam was trained in the ways of the druid, learning all that he could from them, and they in turn, taught him everything they could of their druidcraft, and the ways of Nylea. He learned both about the destructive forces of nature, and the life and creation that follows in its wake. This is the truth of nature, fore, where there is death, there is life. The druids traveled all over the land, never staying in one place for very long. They would follow the migrations of beats, making sure to never remain in an area long enough to disturb the natural order of things. Everywhere they would go, the wildness of the lands would be strengthened. Rangers of Nylea would often join them on their hunts, and they would trade secrets of the trade.
There came a day, where the druids felt something shift in the balance of nature. They could sense a call from Nylea, a warning that a great change was coming. Silvam especially felt this shifting, and left the roving encampment, journeying towards the Forgotten Woods. He reached the edge of the barrier, and felt a need to stay there. Three days later, the barrier cracked, and shattered. Silvam knew his time was now, and journied forward, following Nylea's call.
