Sylver Owlwood
Before Tio Luma
Sylver was born in a small elven village in another country. There she lived with her elven mother Serena Owlwood. She never knew her human father growing up, but her mother would always tell her about how handsome and heroic he was, and he was one of the best human archers she'd seen which drew her to him. Being a half-elf in an elven village meant everyone was wary of Sylver and her mother and treated them as if they didn't belong, except for a singluar older man. The elder of the village, Galather, saw what the village was putting the Owlwood women through and offered them his hand. He became Sylver's adoptive grandfather. When Serena could not watch Sylver, she would stay with Galather where he taught her many things. Once she was 10, Galather began to teach her combat. Of course he taught her the basic of sword fighting, but what she wanted to learn was archery to be like her father. Although she could handle the bow well, she mainly showed expertise with the sword and was practicing on her own after a month of practice with Galather. On her 13th birthday, her mother and Galather gifted her a broadsword and a brand new longbow with a quiver of arrows with owl feathers, these would be the arrows she would continue to use through her life, or at least keeping up on the upkeep of them. Tragedy unfortunately struck when she was 18. Sylver was on the outskirt of her village practicing her archery, when she heard loud bangs and screaming, she immediately grabbed her sword and bow and made her way back to the village. Houses her ablaze, soldiers were massacring anyone they could find. Standing lone above them was man with a crown on his head and sitting on a horse, watching the carnage with a smile on his face. A pair of hands grabbed her pulled her back, she immediately maneuvered to place her sword to her captors throat, only to reveal Galather's face. He told her to run, as much as she tried to protest, she knew he wouldn't tell her to run if he didn't know what he was doing. Believing he had a plan to save the village and her mother, she left to hide in nearby ruins until Galather came to retrieve her. Hours passed and the sun was going down, and still no sign of Galather. She eventually resolved to go back, but when she returned the buildings were burnt to a crisp and she saw no sign of life. She searched for her mother and Galather for a long time, she finally saw Galather, his neck twisted in a way it shouldn't be , as she cried over her lost mentor, she desperately searched for her mother. She was about to give up, in hope that her mother ran and was hiding. Until she heard a thump as her mother's head rolled towards her on the ground. Sylver looked up to see the crowned man as all he said to her was "Long live the king", before riding off, leaving Sylver in the cemetery that was her village. After spending time burying her mother's head, Galather, and even the rest of the village, she saw an Owl in the trees, and she left her village, to train harder to gain revenge on the man who killed her only family. Everywhere she went, the owl followed her. At 21, she had just fought off a group of bandits when another group approached her, after seeing her cut off the heads of all the men, which would soon become Sylver's trademark and how people knew she was there. The group introduced themselves and two men stuck out in her mind: the human Booker who was a ranger, and the barbarian human Jet. Jet had immediately ran up to her flirtatiously and introduced himself as king of the barbarians, from there she punched him and grabbed his face, only telling him "I hate kings" before walking to speak with the rest of the group, only hearing Jet exclaim, "What a woman!". Sylver traveled with this new group for a long while, until they destroyed an Orc encampment. The leader had told them that he was hired, by the very king Sylver was out to kill. During this time Sylver and Booker grew closer, not in a romantic way, to Jet's relief, but in a different way. They eventually told eachother what brought them to this life of adventure. Sylver told her story first and Booker finally told his, saying he had a child..with an elven woman, but had to leave for a fight, unable to find her again afterwards. Sylver confirmed her name...Serena. At first, Sylver couldn't believe it and was simply angry with him, unable to believe he couldn't find her and her mother. And Sylver left, not knowing that was the last time she would see her party. After a few years she heard about her party, ready to confront Booker again and see Jet, she went to where they were last seen and found them, on a battle field, dead. She buried her friends just like she did her village, but this tim there were no tears, just an emptiness. All that was left of her father was a long broken arrow, which she took and kept with her the rest of her life. She did eventually track down the king and brought down every one of his soldiers until it was just the two of them. It was a long bloody fight, but he got her in the chest with an axe. He gloated, telling her she would suffer the same fate as her village, but that was his mistake. In the middle of his gloating and monologuing, Sylver summoned what strength she had left, and severed his head. The last thing she saw before fading away, was his head rolling. She saw a bliding white light, then was in a room, with a 4 strangers and a halfling who called himself Theo.
