Alyssa Wellwood

Alyssa grew up in Collegeton, daughter of a merchant family. At seven she was apprenticed to the church, hoping to learn to be a healer for the Creator. As she served her apprenticeship it became apparent her talents lay elsewhere. While Alyssa can competently wield the healer's art under another's guidance, her gifts lay in the area of more subtle manipulations.
The focus of her apprenticeship changed in accordance to where her true giftings lay, and she excelled during her studies. During that time she became friends with the youngest prince, Liam.  He frequently came to the Cathedral to pursue his studies, and during his time there grew to be close friends with her.
As she neared the end of her apprenticeship, she met and fell in love with a messenger of the church, Duncan Wellwood. She began to question if her calling truly lay with the church.
As she prayed and looked to the Creator for guidance, she was called to accompany Prince Liam to the Rite of Ascension, and was present when he was chosen as the next king of Aloria.
She became a trusted advisor of King Liam, and shortly after his coronation finally accepted Duncan Wellwood's proposal. They were married after a relatively short engagement during the second year of King Liam's reign.
