Andremani

Early in the War of the Powers, the humans had spread across the lands, and in some places come together to form nations. As more dangers arose, these nations hardened, each trying to find a way thru the troubles. One of these was the Kingdom of the Andremani. Little is known about the Andremani outside of some well worn stories, a few poems and a few pieces of armor and weapons. All of the tales speak of a people living somewhere in the northern cold lands, that stood strong against the changed. They are held up as a strong bastion in dark times.
They had skills in metal working and were especially known for making metal alloy, that was characterized by swirls of emerald in the metal. It was strong, light and kept an edge with the best of steels. The alloy is apparently resistant rust and decay as a number of pieces still exist. Their art unfortunately fell with them.
The most well known poem is the Ballad of Leth Loraine, covering the tale of the fall of the Andremani. According to the poem, Kara and Roland, two teens caught in the throes of young love, leave a gap in the defenses, allowing the orc hordes in to wreak great destruction. It ends with the lad turning back, to join the hopeless defense as Kara joins a stream of refugees fleeing south.
