Dragons do not believe in modesty

General Summary

We stood panting and tired as all get out after fighting that dragon, and a man came walking towards us. Cap stood and said, "Can I help you?"   "Yes, I think you need to reflect. It is wrong that you have killed my child, so I will give you some time to think on what you have done."

Waking up in eggs

That is when I woke up, having been broken out of an egg with no clothes. In case you're wondering that is quite miserable.   "We don't have much time," the first man said. "There are things that roam these halls that will kill you in a moment."   I looked around and saw Cap and Lily also naked standing over me. That's when the hounds came.   "Do you have a weapon? Or some way to stop them?" the second man asked.   "I do be havin' a few ways to work on," Cap gestured and the hounds attacking us yelped in pain. Lily threw a spell and more dogs fell. The dogs grew more ferocious focusing their attacks on her, she screamed in pain as several bit her. The demonic dogs turned and attacked me, biting over and over again. I threw a spell at them, and a few fell.   The taller man stepped forward and hit the hound with his weapon. From behind we heard a whistle and the slow thud of a man walking.   "He only comes when he thinks he's won the fight," the shorter man said, "Father Hidalgo help them." A middle-aged man stepped forward in brown robes and helped Lily, hitting a dog on her.   The battle raged back and forth, but we finally bested the hounds, the man ran leaving behind a coin and amulet.   "I'm Garlug," the taller man said, "If we grab these dogs we can go to the soup lady and trade for food."   The shorter man said, "I am Captain Marcus Addius, and this is my friend, Father Hidalgo. There are a few safe places, but we need to move now."   "Wait, we're missing Papa Legba and Vaselli," I said. "We can't leave without them."   "These are the two most recent eggs," Garlug said and crushed the one nearest him revealing Papa Legba. Cap broke the second revealing Vaselli.

Making a deal

I have become weary of making deals, they always seem to go badly.   "What do you bring me?" Soup Lady asked.   "We do be bringin' you some dogs for the soup," Cap answered, "In exchange, we wish some answers and some clothes."   "What is your offer?"   "We be giving you some of these carcasses, how else will you prepare the soup?"   "I'll take two carcasses for clothes," she said staring down into the pot, "But I grow weary of dogs, I wish something more interesting for your other requests."   The haggling went on, and finally she agreed to answer three questions in exchange for some information.   "Where are our amulets that hide us from the fae?" Cap asked.   She stirred the soup and stared into the vapors, "In the warden's hoard."   "Wait," Garlug said, "Why are you hiding from the fae?"   "We'll tell you later," I answered.   "What is the warden's expectations of us to let us leave?" Lili asked.   "For most, you must show you have attuned yourself to the world in a beneficial way. For you," she paused and stirred the pot some more." You need to fulfill the Warden's wishes. He has recently been appointed to this job and tires of it. He wishes to be free of his bargain."   "What is the warden's bargain?" I asked.   "He can't let a prisoner leave while the bargain remains. He guards her precious until it is asked for by its name."   "What is the King's name?" I asked hoping she would not notice we had bargained for three answers.   Her sharp eyes narrowed, but she answered, "Agara."   "Can we bargain for a night's rest here in exchange for the rest of the dog's bodies?" Cap asked.   "Agreed," and we passed the bodies over to her. 'Be careful with that amulet, it is a repository of the song, it could help someone focus their magic."   We nodded and settled down to sleep amidst the noise.

A night's rest

"What's with the ring?" Garlug demanded.   "It's a transport ring," I answered, "We don't have complete control over it. It sometimes opens up to fae and other places. Hopefully, soon we can finish that mission and get rid of it."   "All right," he nodded, "Why are you hiding?"   "A simple misunderstanding," I answered waving off the question, "We stumbled into a forest and there was a disagreement on whether we were allowed to be there. Thankfully the Good Granny agreed with us."   "Sleep!" Cap grumbled, "Stop the jabbering."

Prison break

"Tell me about the exit," Lili said the next morning.   "It's guarded by a giant lizard," Marcus answered. "There are eggs in the chamber, but we don't know what are in the eggs. The exit is on the other side from him."   "Do we need to kill the beast?" I asked. "Do we really want to let everyone in here free once it's killed?"   "How do we get past it then?" Marcus asked.   "I can confuse it so we can run past it," I answered. "We'll just need to run quickly."   "Agreed," Marcus answered, "Addie you go first, and we'll all fan out around you, hopefully, the beast won't be able to get all of us."   I stepped out and cast on the beast, it stood in confusion and we started to run. Marcus tripped and fell over an egg, cracking it. I felt the beast's mind rebelling against my spell, and struggled to hold it, and it roared in pain and confusion. My mind shuddered with pain. Lili tripped and Cap pulled her up, dragging her through the gate.   Garlug ran dancing around eggs and rubble to soar through the gate and disappear. Brother Hidalgo helped Captain Marcus up and they ran through the gate. I dashed after them and barely made it through before the monster snapped at me.

One final bargain

"You've been there barely a day and you believe yourself forward with a claim of having learned your lesson?" the warden stood in front of the gate examining his fingernails. "I'm not sure if I enjoy the sheer bravado or if I wish to smash you like annoying little bugs."   "We are here for Agara's soul," Lili answered him.   "Just what I wanted to hear. I will ignore your earlier transgression against me because you have fulfilled my bargain," he transformed into an ancient dragon and dropped a glowing orb into Lili's hands. "I open this portal to get you away from here, it will remain open for 10 minutes." He gestured a claw and a glowing portal to the coliseum opened up.
