Adakree
Adakree is a highly religious nation that is dominated by Catfolk. Adakree is ruled by a theocratic council of priests that are considered some of the highest ranking members of the clergy of specific gods across the entire continent. The Catfolk of Adakree differ greatly from their cousins across the sea, being far less free loving, do not incorporate a ruling family, nor do they have the similar caravan culture, instead the Catfolk of Adakree satisfy their adventurous nature if a far different way, with traveling missionaries accompanied by zealous warriors.
The missionaries of Adakree and their guard escorts are renowned as exceptionally proficient at defending themselves, so despite their journeys starting in close proximity to Komab, they are generally quite safe from aggressive soldiers. These missionaries spread what they see as the true interpretation of the god's of Tirestir, with their doctrine found in ancient tomes they claim date to millennia before The Arrival, and even before the rise of Jingling or The Xosutan Empire. This religious doctrine has actually caught on in many of the nations on the continent with good few notable exceptions. Although the majority of the clergy of Adakree is made up of the dominant catfolk demographic, they do not discriminate against other species joining their ranks, with the exceptions of certain aquatic species, Orcs, Goblinoids, Tieflings, Grung, and Lizardfolk.
One of the main exports of Adakree is printed goods, with some of the only printing presses on the continent that are still functional exist here, and artists and writers who seek widespread recognition generally have to hire or seek the patronage of an Adakree printing house. The printing guilds of Adakree function almost like noble houses in other parts of the world, with great pride taken in the clients they take, the wealth they accrue, and the quality of the prints they provide.
With the rising power of Komab to the west, Adakree has begun to build up a strong military to deter what they see as an inevitable invasion. Despite their neighbors in Dinte offering them a powerful leg up on Komab, with the right price attached, many of the military in Adakree actually refuse to use Dinterium, fearing it will prevent a proper connection with the gods from forming after watching it prevent the powers of their Clerics and Paladins.
