Eolas, God of Knowledge

God of Knowledge

They appear to their followers as an Owlin holding a large stone tablet, scrolls, books, and other writings seem to hover around them, always within reach. They are known to arbitrate peaceful disputes between other gods and have the reputation of knowing all that has been, all that is, and quite a bit of what is to come. Some say the cut strands of The Three go to Eolas to make up the parchment upon which the history of the universe is written. They are the patron of scholars, historians, archaeologists, and all those who seek knowledge and a higher understanding of the universe around them. They do not take any sides in the disputes of the world, nor of the gods unless it threatens mortals' means to preserve their knowledge. Eolas views the vast amounts of knowledge lost in the fall of the Xosutan kingdom as one of their greatest failures, the angels and clerics of Eolas failing to see the Empire not fall into the small kingdom it is today. The artifact they are most associated with is the Orb of Allsight, an orb that allows one to see across the world and backward into time at the locations scried upon. The servants of Eolas are said to be Ibis-headed men and women who will go to sights of lost knowledge, and make copies of what is left there, before returning to Eolas’ great library.
