Eternos, God of Eternity

God of Eternity

Eternos appears to mortals as a cloud of fog or dust with two glowing red slits taking the shape of eyes floating amidst the cloud. Eternos is the child of Morana the original God of Death, and Tempus, The God of Time. Eternos is said to be able to sever the line of fate leading to the death of a mortal allowing them to achieve eternal life or agelessness. Eternos demands sacrifice from Lich’s, and many wizards and other beings that have achieved immortality or agelessness have all been visited by Eternos. Eternos has no divine realm and insteads informs all those who achieve the status of immortality that should they ever come to die, then Eternos will claim their soul either for their own power and magic, or to turn them into an angel enforcer of theirs. Eternos is rarely ever worshiped by anyone on Tirestir but despite this their consumption of such powerful mortal souls, and the fact that some of the most powerful mortals in existence honor them, leaves them the only god who the Fates and the Furies actually fear, as their unique profile gives Eternos a measure of power of them. Eternos works closely with Bas despite the fact Bas killed their mother. Eternos does not claim dominion over some ageless or deathless beings such as Vampires or lesser undead, as their respective patron gods have paid tithes to Eternos to be given a profile permanently over such beings.
