Fotra, God of Metallic Dragons and Justice

God of Justice and Consequence

Fotra is the father of all metallic dragons and has two sons with Kurga, Ziadreor the creator of gem dragons and Grumrenth the creator of ferrous dragons. Fotra regularly takes a myriad of human forms but when he appears in his true form to followers it is that of a massive platinum scaled dragon, larger than any greatwyrm in existence. Fotra was said to be on the edge of godhood during The Last World, and ascended to godhood along with his wife and son during the great battle that ended the world. Ziadreor died during this battle and Fotra and Kurga helped preserve the gem dragons of Ziadreor and brought them into the new world. Fotra fell into a deep despair after his son’s death and entered a great personal exile only leaving to help in sealing his wife away in the lower planes. This sent him into a further spiral of despair and self-loathing where he fell into a deep slumber for many millennia. One day he awoke and spoke to many of his metallic children, learning of their protective nature of the mortals of this new world and so he spent millenia walking among them, learning from them and teaching them his ways. Many monk orders sprung up in his following, and he taught many spells to wizards, he even created a few sorcerous bloodlines. Few of any of these remain today but Fotra fell in love with this new world and its people. One day after millenia of his wife’s imprisonment he felt he would go to her and try to convince her to see the world as he did, and it seemed for a time she could, and so he released her from the lower planes and they lived together on the world of Tirestir in a grand palace where both chromatic and metallic dragons lived together. During this time they had another son, but eventually Kurga betrayed the trust he granted to her and her chromatic dragons killed his bodyguard of gold greatwyrm’s while he slept and Kurga went on a rampage, destroying the Glittering Moon of Tirestir and the many peoples who lived on it. When Fotra awakened him and their new son Grumrenth, who created a solar system spanning empire, sealed her away once again. After this the same red greatwyrms who killed Fotra’s bodyguard hunted down Grumrenth and slew him in retaliation for his perceived betrayal of his mother, although Grumrenth killed many of them Fotra finished the job and a great war erupted among all dragon kind, Gem, Metallic, Chromatic, and ferrous dragons fought a great way amongst each other, with mortals and giants joining the fray. Metallic dragons tried their best to protect the mortal species and many of their different metallic types were rendered extinct. Ferrous dragons were hit the hardest beginning the war with twelve prime species and ending it with five.
