Gena

The Gena Free People is the currently only democratic nation on the Planet of Tirestir, with the people who claim their birth within Gena to be given a vote on all matters. They use a series of 'Law Houses' with magical devices that can be configured to track people's inputs and deliver them to a central tallying location in the capital. Although primarily dominated by the fearless and fun-loving Kender, they do not discriminate and allow any who are born in Gena to become citizens, even counting Tiefling and Dragonborn among their citizenry.
Gena was once home to a portal to the feywild through which it is said the Kender people arrived, this has allowed a population of primarily Kender, but also Bugbear, Eladrin, Fairies, Goblins, Hobgoblins, and Harengon. This diverse culture of free-loving and chaotic people is what caused this democratic nation to develop. However due to the nature of species diversity, the xenophobic Kenpei people have been invading the island of Gena, and in their occupied region they have expelled all races besides Kender, which they view as a lesser version of their own species.
Some of the most unique cultural expressions of Gena is their devotion to the arts and crafts of their people. Their art is considered some of the best and most creative in the world, capturing moments and emotions perfectly. There is a small degree of artists here who are dedicated to producing magical works of art and art supplies, sold to only the most discerning and deep-pocketed nobles both inside and outside of Gena. They also have a rich culture of pottery, jewelry, and other types of craft making they use as their primary export. This does leave them militarily weak.
Due to the recent war, a General from among the Hobgoblin's has begun to attract a large following among the people of Gena and is swiftly swaying public opinion to not only form a stalwart defense again the Kenpei aggression but to strike back at them, following them all the way back to the archipelago.
