The Conflict

Prelude

Before The Arrival several large nations inhabited both of the main continents of Tirestir. It was during this time many clerics, divination wizards, far seers, and prophets tell of a great catastrophe affecting other worlds. 
On other worlds in the same solar system as Tirestir, excluding their moon, an event caused many of the species present on these worlds to go on a grand exodus, at least the survivors.

Battlefield

The entire Planet of Tirestir, with a few exceptions made for the poles and other inhabitable locations, was invaded by various people from the stars. Although no evenly dispersed nor covering the entire planet, all existing nations at the time had to deal with invasion forces, either by letting them annex land, or fighting them.

Outcome

The fall of several pre-established nations, and the creation of new nations, either new kingdoms from the invaders or splinter rebel factions that used the conflict to split off from their mother nations.

Aftermath

Widespread disdain and racism towards races and species attributed to have come 'From the Arrival'. The main races that have some disdain towards them due to this event are the Hadozee, Dragonborn(Tsaeci), Plasmoids, Orcs, Githyanki/Githzerai, Simic Hybrids, Kender, and the Vedalken. Although this list sometimes includes other races, some on this list do have records of similar races being recorded before The Arrival in ancient records.

Historical Significance

The nations born from The Arrival tell of a time on their worlds where a great catastrophe befell them, though the writing of these catastrophe's are either non existent or contradictory depending on which species is recounting them, they all do tell of a period in their nations called the Great Hibernation. This was the period where the primitive ships that they used to travel between worlds kept their inhabitants in a form of stasis. 
The Nations on Tirestir however write of awful invaders falling from the sky down to their nations, negotiating or waging war for land. Some species even tell of 'brothers' or 'sisters' from the stars, people that look quite like them, just fell from the stars during The Arrival.

In Literature

This period has many books and novels written about it, and is a very typical fascination time period for military historians. Many fictions are also written in this period, or take inspiration from it, tales of heroes and villains from the invading forces, star struck lovers of two different species caught on two different sides of the war.

Technological Advancement

A technological boon and dark age strangely followed this period. The new technologies that came with the invaders as well as the fall or decline of several long lasting nations made the period that followed one of advanced warfare but technological fields such as infrastructure, farming, and architecture took a major hit.
