The Noble Sun

The cult of the Noble sun is dedicated to spreading the belief that Sol-Ra and all other sun deities deserved to be worshipped as the chief deities of the worlds they shine upon. They will enforce this either through benign acts or enforcing fear such as what they did on Tirestir where they joined with the Chosen of Sol-Ra ushering in the event known as Daybreak. The Noble Sun was founded in 1455 when the Chosen of Sol-Ra wandered the world trying to spread word of their god only to find dismissiveness or placations from the civilizations of the world. The Chosen returned to his homeland of The Stellar Theocracy, a land that had banned the worship of the Sol-Ra God of the Sun. The injustice of banning the worship of a god stung The Chosen and so he began an underground movement claiming that the Sun was the purest form of the stars his people worshipped. To his closest followers he was able to wipe clean the constellations that all Novan's have, and infusing them with the power of The One, or the sun. This movement spread even beyond the Stellar Theocracy and attracted being like Human's, Dragonborn, and even the more power hungry species of an evil weal like Ogre's, Giant's, Goblin's, and Orc's whom wanted to be on the strongest side of this burgeoning movement.
Eventually the Noble Sun would decide that their goal of spreading the worship of Sol-Ra as a chief deity had two main roadblocks, they lacked access to Sol-Ra himself, and the worship of other gods both threatened their expansion and distracted their potential followers. They set out with two goals, claim themselves a spelljammer to reach their god, and destroy the temples of rival gods. To their first goal they set about scrying on powerful magic related to wildspace across the world until they found potential sources for spelljammers. To their second goal they used The Corridors of the Mages to strike out without warning at various temples near these potential spelljammer locations.
The noble sun gained access to the Corridors of the Mages from a Nagpa, an ancient Xosutan mage who, along with his other fellow Xosutan mages, made the Corridors long ago. Despite this Nagpa joining the cult their primary goal was to seek the destruction of civilizations in order to circumvent their curse preventing them from learning knowledge held by any alive.
The Noble Sun achieved their goal in 1475, starting an event known as Daybreak. Through the cult's worship and the power of their Chosen and their God they made the light of day into a deadly force and used this worldwide event to launch an assault against Xosutan, seeking to claim the spelljammers hidden beneath their capitol. This show of force by the cult and wrath of their god killing hundred's of thousands worldwide would actually achieve their goal and spread veneration of Sol-Ra across the globe. This veneration was born out of fear however and the Cult of the Noble Sun now conducted themselves in the open and despite all being fearful of the militarized cult, none dared act against them until proof another Daybreak could be prevented.
