Gruumsh, The One-Eyed

(a.k.a. The One-Eyed, The Cursed One, He Who Never Sleeps)

Gruumsh is the patron god of orcs, with the domains of conquest, strength, survival and war. He is named He Who Never Sleeps for he was said to never tire, and symbolized with an ever-open eye to represent the orc belief that he watched over them all, judging the worth of each and every one of their kind.
In Tiriande, the necessity of living in close quarters with other races tempered the most brutal aspects of the worship of Gruumsh, which caused his worship to spread among the other races of the city. He is commonly prayed to in desperate moments of struggle.
