Western Sun Circle

The sun's rays shine bright and lethal here, burning everything within its sight. The ground is an ashy, glassy sort, no plants live within this circle. Any and all who venture forth into it without heavy protective gear feel their skin blister and boil from within, dying in mere moments.
Many factions execute people by sending them into the Sun Circle, and there are no known survivors.

Geography

A plain with small dusty hills, nothing known lives within it or around it for quite some distance.

Fauna & Flora

There are tales of a beast that lives within the circle, a beast of glass and fire. Seen at the edge of the circle by wanderers, the huge beast watches back with a somber stare. Standing, it's torso disappearing into the glass, towering above even the tallest human, no hunter would dare attempt to confirm its existence. It's exact shape and features are unknowable, as the glassy sand is so bright when looked at, like bright snow in the sun.

Natural Resources

Death glass can be harvested from the ground, but only through the use of proper protective gear and tools, to avoid the full blast of the sun's rays. The death glass should be tied in a heavy sack and pulled 10 feet behind. It can be used as a throwing weapon, but only when wearing a heavy glove and with incredibly limited exposure. It's best use is that of a slow, radiating "bomb" of sorts. Place it down in exposure of the sun, and it will slowly sicken any and all who get near it, even through heavy walls.
Deeper below, there is a sort of metal that has been naturally refined. Nearly impossible to obtain, those who find themselves in possession of it are in no danger, as it does not give off the radiating sickness of death glass. There are very few who own a blade made of Sunsteel, but those who do are capable of cutting through anything with great ease.
Sunsteel emanates a natural heat, its blade is too hot to touch, a heavy scabbard, glove, and hilt wrapping is necessary to carry it without burning the wielder.
