Everfrost

The town of Everfrost was an Elven settlement located in the North East region of the continent, only a few days ride from the Capital and nestled in a white pine forest that the town gained its name from. While the predominate climate held a chill throughout the year, the strange white trees appeared to be in perpetual winter. While beautiful to behold by those that would visit, the Elven inhabitants of the town often seemed hardened, and tough compared to their more temperate brethren. Because of such weather, Everfrost was home to one of the most prolific libraries in the region, collected by adventurers from across the land that spent their days in warm taverns, sharing their stories of beasts and monsters to the local bards that would embellish and record such tales.
The town lived on tourism, rugged hospitality, and coin from adventurers that would pass through. Many of its younger inhabitants would follow the adventuring lifestyle that they hear so much about, sitting next to the fire, and some were generational soldiers for the kingdoms, expected to enlist in whatever Kingdom’s army their ancestors had before them. This more often than not led to squabbles within the town as millennia old Elven family lines that had served whichever kingdom confronted those of opposing kingdoms. Rarely did these fist shaking encounters lead to violence off the battlefield however, but rather petty rivalries of what kingdom’s flag flew highest or which represented kingdom took the most trophies at each festival.
Eladrin Elves were a common occurrence in Everfrost, causing some to believe there were connections to the Feywild nearby, but no one ever spoke of them. Others believed the strange Elves simply preferred the perpetual winter look of the surrounding forest. Most other races were far more rare, other than humans and their Half Elven progeny. Gnomes, being another long lived race, could be found running merchant shops for a decade or two, but would often become bored of the relaxed pace of the town until their elder years.

Government

Before the Legion, Everfrost produced guards, agents, and supplies for the Elven nations of the twelve kingdoms. It’s current status is unknown.

Infrastructure

Everfrost was primarily run by the various races of Elves, and thus was a combination of the intricate crystal spires surrounded by the great white coniferous forest.
