Major language groups and dialects
The common language is Orcish , however most Orcs have a loose grip on the common tongue as well.
Shared customary codes and values
An Orc tribe tends to stick to its own kind and seldom allies itself with another tribe. If an Orc tribe encounters another tribe, a war of superiority breaks out. The losing tribe may be executed, taken as slaves, or allowed to remain a tribe that is subservient to the victor. Raro the Lore Master has noted that though rare, Orc tribes that win this contest have converted the losing tribe into their tribe to replenish numbers or grow in size. A Chief who makes this decision must be cautious, as more Orcs in the tribe mean more potential Chieftains to replace him.
Common Dress code
Orcs dress themselves in ways to show off their achievements, but not weigh themselves down in battle. An Orc who wears a large amount of trophies is respected due to the fact that he has killed many things, but also that he can preform well in battle while wearing such extra weight.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
Orcs settle all disputes with violence. The Orc hierarchy is often decided with fights, the more serious the transgression the more furious the battle. A dispute over the last cup of grog may be decided with a simple fist fight, while dispute for a new chief may be decided by combat to the death in front of a roaring crowd.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Orcs do not tend to have many funerals, as most Orcs do not die outside of battle. If an elder Orc is respected in the tribe and not considered a burden, their passing of natural causes may result in a few friends accompanying the corpse when it is carried into the woods for the wild to consume.
Orcs have a standing tradition of "leave them where they lay" on the battlefield, however it is a sign of respect to not loot the corpse. Looting the corpse of anything you did not kill personally is a major taboo and a sign of disrespect.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Orc's favour strength and loyalty above all else. A Orc may find beauty in a another Orc who wears many trophies from fallen rivals, a weapon whose bonded perfectly with the wielder, or in combat itself.
However, an Orc would find no beauty in another Orc who is from a rival tribe. Even if the other Orc is coated in the blood of their rivals, has hand crafted weapons that have taken many lives and inspires fear from their brethren, an Orc from another tribe is disgusting.
Gender Ideals
When Orcs find courtship, one of the Orcs must remain with the child to raise them. Orcs have no tradition for gender roles in this aspect, it is simply the tougher of the two get their way. In a particularly powerful couple where the power dynamic is not readily apparent, the two Orcs will engage in a fist fight. The winner of the fight well be the one who provides for the family and the loser will rear the child. No matter the outcome of the fight, the loser respects the outcome and does not become bitter or attempt to usurp the winner.
Orcs do not care about genders, so a love connection between two male orcs or two female orcs is not looked down upon, but an orc in that style of relationship will seek out the opposite sex for reproduction purposes, maintaining a loyalty to each other as parents. It is not uncommon for Orcs to create an offspring and raise it until it is of an age to take care of itself, then the parents never speak to each other again.
