Ayuli's Kitchen

I hope that charity is taking care of its finances - I'd hate for that safety net for all those kids to fall out from underneath them due to poor management.
Ayuli's Kitchen is a charity operating in the Skarhan city of Plumtris, aimed at ensuring the poor of the city are fed and supported. Founded by Rien Ayulidan in 417 AC using private capital, it has since received decent government support through grants.

History

According to Ayulidan, they grew up hungry and impoverished on the streets of Plumtris in the 390s and early 400s, only being able to survive through the generosity of others. Once they had made themselves secure, which involved a multi-year stay in Sinofis, they returned to their home city to found Ayuli's Kitchen in 417, with the goal of passing on the help that had saved them.   The charity initially operated from a temporary rented location in the city's west, hosting free dinners once a week. With some time, the charity began to establish a consistent roster of volunteers that allowed it to expand its offerings to more times in the week, though this soon ran into "scheduling conflicts" with venues. A more permanent location was aquired in mid 419.   Ayuli's Kitchen recieved its first government grant in 421, allowing it to establish a second location in the city's northern suburbs. Further grants recieved have aimed at improving operations, maintaining access to healthy food, and potential further expansions throughout the city and possibly to other area throughout the country, though Ayulidan has resolved to keep the organisation small for the time being.

While the current cash flow for Ayuli's Kitchen is fairly easy to track, the initial sum used to establish it isn't. Given their upbringing and lack of business connections, it isn't clear how Rien Ayulidan got that much gold.   Rumours abound about the oft-discussed trip to Sinofis, capital of Telziad, with some saying that they must be the same individual as the bandit pardoned by Crown Larusion following the. foiled assassination in 414. Therefore the money must have been a reward for their efforts. Others suggest they are possibly the bastard child of a prominent Skarhan family, and that the money was a bribe to keep them from going public about the connection.
