Assassination of Naike IV of Ozäxa-Lavüdh

Life, Death

185BC

Naike IV was one of the two diarchs of Ozäxa-Lavüdh, and well liked by his people. However, his marriage to a Zdärrözadh princess who later became Queen due to the tragic deaths of the royal family made political matters complicated, as the two only had one child who was now set to inherit both countries. The two were adamant the situation could be resolved peacefully, deciding they would raise the child equally between the two countries and let her decide which throne to inherit.
This, sadly, did not come to pass, as Naike was assassinated while staying in Zdärrözadh. It's widely believed the intended target was his wife, but she was able to escape with their daughter.
