The Royal Army Healers (RAHs)
A group of Clerics, Mages, Druids, Witches, Shamans and Warlocks whose magical focus and speciality lie in healing magic. They are sent to the front lines to heal those who would otherwise die, each unit of 13 healers sent with at least 6 members who have specialities in defensive and offensive skills. These 6 or more fighters may or may not also be healers, depending on how many soldiers can be spared for each mission.
Composition
Manpower
A single unit of Healers may have 3, 4, 10, 13, 22, or 33 members, depending on the strength and number of the healing spells required. These Healer units are always partnered with units that are capable of defending them whilst the Healers perform their spells, or will include members whose job it is to protect those who are actively healing.
Weaponry
Each Healer is armed with at least one gun, with plenty of ammo to spare. Often, the Healers have multiple guns as well as any magical equipment they may need for defence and attack. This may include staves, plants, crystals, soul shards, and Voidmatter Crystals, amongst others.
Structure
Officer Cadets are the least senior Healers and are still in training. Upon graduating from their training academy, they are given the rank of Second Lieutenant Healer, which is normally held for 1-2 years. After this comes Lieutenant Healer, typically held for 2-3 years. The rank of Healing Captain is typically held for 5-10 years, depending on leading ability and other such requirements.
After this comes Healing Major, Lieutenant Colonel Healer, Healer Colonel, Brigadier, Major General, Lieutenant General, and General. Healers who hold the rank of Brigadier and above are often not field commanders.
Logistics
Auxilia
RAHs often work side by side with army medics, speeding up healing time and providing aid when the non-magical medics cannot mend an injury.
Recruitment
Recruits must have the ability to control their own innate magic and/or that of the world around them in order to perform healing rituals and spells. Any species can be recruited, but they must be a citizen of the UK.
History
Historical loyalties
Like the rest of the Army, RAHs have always been loyal to the Royalty of England, the country itself and the U.K. as a whole, as well as the citizens of the British Empire.
